Eden Hyder

LPC, LCMHC-QS, EMDR Trained

Close-up of a woman smiling outdoors, wearing glasses, earrings, and a white textured top, with a blurred background of trees.

I was the kid sitting over a bowl of Chili’s bottomless chips with a friend in high school, philosophizing life.

From my own journey, I know life can be hard, disappointing and confusing at times. I also know what getting to the light at the end of the tunnel feels and looks like. I understand that we need open, collaborative, honest and caring spaces for healing and change to occur.

Eden works with teens, adults and couples.

  • Eden received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis and later identified a passion for the intersection of spirituality and psychology, heading off to The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. There she received a dual Masters in Christian Studies and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. She is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the state of North Carolina, and EMDR Trained.

Eden views the world, her clients, her friends, her self and family through attachment theory, which means

    1. I work from the premise that we all need relationships.

    2. How we act in relationships come from the first relationship: our caregiver(s) as an infant.

    3. To understand the present, we have to understand our past.

  • Eden has several years experience working at all levels of care treating adults and adolescents, male and females, with eating disorders and co-occurring disorders (anxiety, depression, OCD, etc.). She has also served as Program Director for a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treating adults and adolescents with eating disorders. Her passion is for helping clients work through identity questions, and doing more intensive work with those who are experiencing chronic attachment or relationship issues.

Eden is co-owner of Inside Out Collaborative with her husband, Michael Hyder, who is also a therapist.

  • Somatic Work with Eden

Our somatic work is gentle, grounded, and relational—an invitation to listen to the wisdom your body already carries. Rather than forcing release or trying to “fix” symptoms, we slow down, notice sensations, and follow the subtle cues of the nervous system with compassion.

  • Attachment Patterns in Adults

Attachment patterns don’t just live in our minds—they show up in our bodies, our relationships, and the ways we protect ourselves when connection feels uncertain. By noticing these somatic cues with compassion, we can soften old protective patterns and move toward steadier, more connected relationships.

  • Healing Through Parts-Work

In parts work, we explore the emotions and sensations connected to the protective roles inside you—each one trying in its own way to keep you safe. When these parts feel seen and supported, they soften, making room for clarity, connection, and grounded sense of self.
