PASSION Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. Your story matters. Your life matters. You are important and you matter. I believe we have an innate ability to adapt and heal when given the right space to do so. My goal is to provide that space where you can access your resources and strengths and confidently create the change you want.
WHAT I LOVE DOING MOST:
Helping men who have low energy and spend way too much time in their heads to engage their “felt sense.” I help them find their vitality and vigor through specific techniques and protocols that engage the body and move energy (this is done primarily with EMDR, however meditation and mindfulness also play a part).
Helping women whose voice was squelched by an overbearing or over-anxious mother step out of people pleasing and into their authentic voice and self.
Helping those who have been traumatized be able to re-create a felt sense of safety and become tenacious, resilient survivors.
I am a Christian and enjoy integrating one’s faith and spirituality into the counseling process when my clients are interested.
EXPERTISE Over 10 years in the counseling field with:
Trauma recovery and spiritual integration
I help adults move from trauma and disconnection to a sense of deep healing and knowing of themselves, others, and the world.
This is done primarily through a body-based therapy called EMDR as well as the development and integration of your own spirituality into the process.
Other areas of work:
anxiety and depression
grief and loss
EDUCATION I received my BA in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. I completed my MA in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School in Seattle, Washington.
PAYMENT I accept private pay and can provide a super-bill to file for out-of-network benefits.
